River Bend

Just east of Rowe Sanctuary on Elm Island Road is a great place to view Sandhill Cranes in the afternoon as they loaf in the sun and reat. Make sure you stop in at River Bend

Ten’s of thousands of cranes can be seen loafing in the fields at River Bend  after their morning feeding in the surrounding area, The afternoon is a time for resting, dancing, and interacting with other crane families.

There is no charge but a free will donation of any amount is suggested to help with the conservation of crane habitat
