This suet feeder is surrounded by a sturdy 16 gauge wire mesh cage to keep out starlings and squirrels. Downy woodpeckers can easily fit through the 1-1/2” opening to access suet. Larger woodpeckers can reach in with their long barbed tongue to get a tasty treat. Chickadees, nuthatches, and other songbirds can feed undisturbed by pesky Starlings & squirrels. Made from weather-resistant vinyl-coated wire and an attractive green powder-coated steel top and bottom. The lid removes for easy filling.
Holds two suet cakes.
